In our clinic, we offer a discreet and professional service. Our extensive range of treatments is designed to subtly tackle common problems such as wrinkle formation and to restore volume in the skin, resulting in a younger and healthier look.

We offer a full range of facial aesthetic treatments including profile balancing, nose reshaping (non-surgical/10 minute rhinoplasty or nose-job), masculinisation of the chin and jawline. We treat tear troughs under the eyes to banish dark circles, as well as facial and neck rejuvenation.

Medical Aesthetics

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and are able to offer a range of medical treatments including treatments for weight loss, to combat excessive sweating, to prevent teeth grinding and to treat Migraines. We can also remove minor benign skin lesions such as skin tags.

Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis is a medical term for excessive sweating. It affects approximately 1% of the population and can cause skin irritation as well as lack of confidence and self-esteem.

In many cases, Botox treatments have proven to be effective in combating hyperhidrosis, reducing sweating by up to 95%. Results usually last 6-9 months, with many people reporting longer-lasting benefits.

As a result of budget cuts within the NHS it is now extremely difficult to obtain treatment on the NHS. However, at Durham Private Doctors we can discuss possible solutions in a discreet and professional setting.
As well as the standard approach to hyperhidrosis with botox injections in the armpits, other areas of excessive sweating such as scalp, hands, face etc. can now be treated easily using the Wow fusion device.

Bruxism

Teeth grinding or jaw clenching is also known as bruxism. People who suffer with bruxism grind their teeth, or clench their jaw, involuntarily. It can happen while they are awake or asleep and is often related to stress and anxiety. Bruxism can cause facial pain, dental problems, earaches and migraines.

Botox injections into the jaw muscle have been shown to relieve bruxism successfully, by relaxing the jaw muscle and preventing involuntary grinding or clenching.

Migraine

Dr Helen Marsden trained in the treatment of migraines, and in particular the treatment of Chronic Migraine Syndrome using Botox. She learnt this technique from neurologists in London and has gained experience in local migraine clinics too. She now has many patients who have responded well to this potentially life-changing treatment.
